And they were literal scraps in this case because the project came from Mary's determination to make productive, elegant use of her boundless collection of fabric that she has amassed over decades. Not just an onlooker, I also had the opportunity to adjust the photographs, as published here. None are for sale, she says determinedly, but she did insist that I choose one for myself, in payment for my efforts. Which one do you think I chose? Clue: The answer has something to do with golf.
