A another compelling argument against GMO's! I am so glad that your property is a safe haven for them to stop and rest before they move on (it sounds heavenly). I can only imagine the thrill of seeing so many in years past, and feel your pain to see their numbers dwindle. What a sad thing indeed. North American Monarchs eat ...So true and so sad.

North American Monarchs eat milkweed which makes them noxious to eat which is one of their survival mechanisms. Perhaps your Monarchs are not so noxious if your cat can eat them without getting sick?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07329147817360076138noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-62234241800853141.post-30985750969938818992014-09-14T14:14:07.767-07:002014-09-14T14:14:07.767-07:00I'm starting to see some here in NZ, unfortuna...I'm starting to see some here in NZ, unfortunately so has my cat. Am really hoping they do survive, but unfortunately big business seems to be allowed to run roughshod over the rest of the world's inhabitants.Rachellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06409673383518447394noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-62234241800853141.post-39158387221319120602014-09-14T05:02:16.577-07:002014-09-14T05:02:16.577-07:00Thanks Judi,

Now it's thousands of square miles of corn and beans. The prairie is a small plot in the park and the buffalo and butterflies are in zoos while the pesticides that are genetically modified into the corn pollen cover everything. The really sad thing is that so much of that corn is grown to make ethanol to fuel our cars. It's not even benefiting starving people. Crazy.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07329147817360076138noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-62234241800853141.post-64374893519457066262014-09-13T22:03:33.754-07:002014-09-13T22:03:33.754-07:00What a beautiful thing you have shared, thank you....What a beautiful thing you have shared, thank you.
I wish I could view it before it no longer exists.
Thank you for providing a resting place for them, that at least can be done.
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08805348661583792065noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-62234241800853141.post-16629675934166707172014-09-13T17:27:33.261-07:002014-09-13T17:27:33.261-07:00I hope it is not too late.I hope it is not too late.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07329147817360076138noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-62234241800853141.post-41965392243035566342014-09-13T17:19:31.621-07:002014-09-13T17:19:31.621-07:00Thank you for these photos.
